This is a extremely fine condition rare unused Navy issued 1911-A1 pistol. The hammer is the correct flat side hammer. The trigger is the correct stamped style trigger. ![]() The magazine is a correct near new issued magazine. The pistol's parkerizing would rate a 98% overall condition. The original barrel blue would rate a strong 97% or better. The FJA inspector stamp is present and easy to see. The "P" is correctly located in front of the rear sight. These grips are in new condition. The feed ramp is still very bright. It has a minty correct High Standard Barrel with sharp rifling. This information is in Clawson's Small book on page 125. This is one of 2150 pistols sent to Officer In charge Naval Supply Depot Oakland California. This pistol was shipped to the Navy November 17th 1944. ![]()
